(More customer reviews)I have a cannon HG20 that can't seem to hold a charge, so buying a second battery seems like a good idea. This battery will fit and power up the camera, but is far from being compatible. Once powered up, the camera is confused and says "cannot communicate with battery." It will do this EVERY TIME you power up the camera and force you to select "ok". With the manufacturers battery it tells you when the charge is running low, this just gives you a big ? on the screen untill it dies without notification. Charging is also an issue because it won't do so in the camera. The manufacturers battery gives you a blinking light indicator, this product does nothing. I even left the battery on charge for several hours and it died after a few minutes of shooting, which tells me it doesn't work with this camera.
