(More customer reviews)Kit is the only one I've found that has three filters that I might actually use -- UV (protect-the-lens "filter"), ND4 (neutral density, so you can use wider f-stop in bright situations to have control over depth of field), and my favorite, CPL (circular polarizing filter).
Comes with a case for the filters, it's large enough a case to hold other lens' filters.
The UV filter, what can I say, it does what it's supposed to (protects the lens against scratches).
I haven't used the ND4 filter yet but it seems to be of good quality.
The CPL (polarizing) filter is good in that it's thin (won't vignette my lens) and not too dark (so doesn't need much if any increased exposure). Its one drawback is the movement. To compare, I also have a Tiffen CPL for another lens. When I rotate the Tiffen, the movement is quiet and smooth. But when I rotate the CPL in this kit, it feels like it's metal-against-metal. The movement isn't smooth and there is some noise. It's tough to turn when I'm trying to work it with one finger through the lens hood.
Despite my comments this is a good buy for the money. Most other kits have a color filter, one that I won't use as I do any color adjustments in Photoshop or Picasa.
