(More customer reviews)Right when i was looking for information on this fisheye lens i found it hard to find good solid reviews so i decided now i got it im gona let you all know what its really like.
I live in the UK and i spoke to someone in London a few days after i ordered the fisheye, he had ordered the exact same fisheye for £300. By buying it in the USA and through Amazon i got it for $300, which works out half price to the current exchange rate. Even if youre in the USA this is the cheapest place i have found this item anywhere on the internet.
The lens arrives in a brown cardboard box, a very solid and strong one. Inside this there is a similar-but smaller box- which contains a leather pouch with the fisheye in it.
It really does feel worth £150 when you look at that piece of fisheye and compare it to the considerably lower quality ones you can find on ebay for under £50. The glass quality is Amazing and although i have not yet hit it by accident and found out its strength, the review before this one has done that for you...
I own a Panasonic GS500 which has a 43mm thread on the lens. The baby death has less of a difference when you compare it to my camera's thread than the full size, original death lens, so i thought it would be wise to buy this one as its half the price and more suitable for such a small camera as the GS500. It fits nicely with a 43mm --> 37mm step-down ring and shows no vig on the screen, but its on the verge of doing so, thats how you know it fits perfect. If you want it wider, you can add a couple of spacer rings that separate the lens from the camera by a few mm, these are cheap to get at a couple of Pounds each on ebay.
Overall, if you have a small camera that will benefit from the smaller 37mm threads on this lens...this is the fisheye for you.
I made a video the day after i got the lens to test it and although im not 100 percent perfect on filming with it, it does show what it can do.
