(More customer reviews)There are multiple problems with the bloggie touch. I have used other mini cams such as the flip ultra HD and the Kodak Zi8.
CONS:
1) It needs a great deal of light to record properly. I was in a decently lit room and the picture was VERY orangey and VERY grainy. As compared to other minicams at the same price, it is TERRIBLE.
2) The 360 lens is kind of fun, but it makes people seem MUCH farther than what they are. If one is appx. 6 feel away from the lens, they will appear as if they are 20 feet away or so.
3) You cannot alter the quality of the video in 360 mode, it is STUCK in 1080 @ 30fps. You cannot change it.
4) The 360 lens picks up a decent amount of glare from light sources, so its difficult to get a good picture with use of the 360 lens.
5) Once the 360 film is converted, the video itself is VERY small. On my 17" laptop screen, the video spanned the entire width of the screen and was only about 1" from the top to the bottom. Everything in the video seemed really small. I attempted to change the resolution of my laptop screen, and there was no way to make this look better.
6) It ONLY records continuously for 30 minutes. There is no indication that the camera stopped recording (such as a beep). I needed to use this to record for a total of an hour, and it WOULD NOT do it. There is NO WAY to change this.
7) THE WORST CON is that it NEEDS to be held sideways in order to record in wide screen...When one places this on a tripod, it IS NOT sideways, and therefore DOES NOT record in widescreen... And no, there is no way to jimmy rig a tripod to it..believe me... I tried
PROS:
None really.. stay away from this minicamcorder. I REALLY wanted to like this... especially because of the 360 lens... I find that it can be quite useful when in a conference.. but the 30 minute limit and very poor picture quality make this minicamcorder useless.. stick with an ultra HD or zi8...
